Ports
Enviro-ports
Hutchison Port Holdings’ (HPH)
business units around the world are
constantly improving their environmental
performance by reducing energy
consumption and pollutant emissions.
HPH recently introduced four electric
Rubber-Tyred Gantry Cranes (eRTGC) at
the Port of Felixstowe which deliver energy
savings of around 45 per cent compared
with conventional diesel-drivenmodels.
They have also reduced emissions and
improved air quality around the port.
Lighting plays a part as well. HPH has
completed the installation of energy-
saving LEDs at the Mexican business
unit’s Ensenada International Terminal
and Ensenada Cruiseport Village.
