As of this story’s publication, a consortium led by HWL Group companies, Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited
and Hongkong Electric Holdings Limited, has made an irrevocable offer to Electricité de France (EDF) for 100 per cent
of EDF Energy plc’s ownership in its UK electricity distribution businesses with a total offer price of GBP5.775 billion,
approximately HKD70 billion.
